Munich’s Forstenried district is home to the oldest farmhouse in the region. Local residents fought to preserve the building, which was built in 1751, and would have liked to see it used as a museum. But now it will become part of a small residential ensemble including a large community garden that the project developer Euroboden is realizing. The architect Peter Haimerl was won over for the concept of a sensitive and monument-oriented renovation. He is well-known to be passionate about preserving old buildings and bringing their former use into synergy with today’s use. Most of the original components are thus preserved and returned to the building. The general planning was carried out by raumstation Architekten. The video (Euroboden) will take you through the process of approaching a sustainable and extraordinary building and landscape architecture.
Bayerischer Bezug sorgt für Unvergessliches
A new city quarter – the Schwabinger Tor – has been under construction on the former Metro site for about six years. It already deserves the reputation of being a creative and hip place. This urban development was exactly the right occasion for Hyatt Hotels Corporation to plan the first Andaz in Germany and no. 19 worldwide. The project was successful, as a hotel with a particular regional flair will be opening shortly. Among the highlights of our editorial staff are a skybar and remarkably friendly staff. Not a matter of course in an otherwise very sublime city.
Llanelli
Wellbeing Living
Llanelli is a Welsh coastal town in the county of Carmarthenshire. In the 18th and 19th centuries, the small town gained its wealth from coal and mining and later from the steel industry. One of the world’s most spectacular spas is to be built here for around 200 million pounds. An ambitious plan that is part of a £1.3 billion High Potential Opportunity Programme launched by the UK and Welsh governments. The Delta Lakes Village Project is managed by Carmarthenshire County Council in collaboration with Swansea University and Sterling Health.
The design planning application is expected to be submitted for approval in the next few days. Construction is also scheduled to start this year.
